About the Perfumer
Classically trained at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery, Dana El Masri is inspired by songs that hold sentimental appeal for her. She creates perfumes with vibrance, made with quality ingredients and genuine affection.
Her personal collection blends melodies of the past and the present through scent and music - crafting a playful symphony of fragrances influenced by her background as a singer and songwriter.
Now back in Montreal, Dana continues to grow and evolve as a perfumer while sharing her love for music, culture, and scent on her blog www.thescentinel.com
About Jazmin Saraϊ
Jazmin Saraï embodies the union between the queen of white flowers, Jasmine, and the king of musical genres, Jazz, wafting through the inner walls of a Saraï, an oriental palace. Inspired by the concept of Synesthesia and by Septimus Piesse’s remarkable work, Dana blends melodies of the past and present with her two loves: music and perfume.
Synesthesia occurs when two sensory pathways are experienced at the same time or when one sense influences another.
Dana smells in sounds - she interprets beats, rhythms, melodies, and lyrics of songs in perfume.
Dana’s approach to packaging is based on a simple, artisanal, down-to-earth design, with a nod to vintage aesthetics.
Blown-glass bottles are handmade and manually stained in Egypt, while boxes are custom-designed in Montreal in the shape of both an oriental door and a jukebox.
